Register for Electronic Prescribing of Controlled Substances (EPCS)
To prescribe XYWAV or XYREM providers must first register for the electronic prescribing of controlled substances (EPCS).
- To begin registration, go to https://www.xywavxyremrems.com/
- Select Prescribe XYWAV and XYREM radio button
- Select ePrescribe Now
- Open the login screen. Select Register Now to sign up for EPCS for the first time.
Overview of Registration Process
- Initial Onboarding. Complete an online form, where you will select a username and password to log in for e-prescribing; provide details like practice information, NPI number, and DEA number. Completing this step generates an email with a link and unique invitation ID that you will need to continue.
- Identity Proofing.* Use the email received from the first step to verify your identity.
- EPCS Registration.* Associate at least one token to your account, select a passphrase (password) and select a security question and answer for e-prescribing controlled substances.
- Logical Access Control (LAC). Generate an email to an administrator who will officially activate electronic prescribing of controlled substances (EPCS) for you.
- Prescribe. After all the steps are completed, providers will be able to begin prescribing XYWAV and/or XYREM by going to the same login screen shown above.
*Note: Providers who have completed identity proofing and EPCS registration in the past, may choose to skip these steps and go directly to the last step, LAC.
